FLAX (France Los Angeles Exchange) Foundation teamed up with Grand Park to present an international collaboration and dance performance by French video and performing artist Lola Gonzàlez and Los Angeles-based artists, choreographer Oguri and composer Paul Chavez.

Inspired by the complex landscape of the city, the trailblazing performance entailed a traveling processional tackling ideas of community, collaboration and the impact of urban living. In the early evening, 60 performers set off from several distinct locations in Downtown Los Angeles. Echoing recent unrest in this country and the world, the groups marched through the corridors of the civic center to gather together at Grand Park for a mass performance, punctuated by individual actions and gestures as each participant acted out his or her role.

The culmination of the performance saw the performers assembling in front of the Grand Park Metro Station. They proceeded in groups through the park towards Grand Avenue, ending together after dark in the The Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountain.
